Name: WILLOWApproximate Age: 8 YEARS Sex: FBreed: QHColor: SORRELRescued From: SLAUGHTERMore Info: This is one of my personal favorites. Willow is approximately 8 years old. A stocky sorrel QH mare. She is a sweet girl that turns her head to one side when she looks at you. She has a very soft eye, nice body lines, nice confirmation and built well. She is very smart and only wants to do good. She is an affectionate mare and comes running when you call her name. Willow is for intermediate to experienced. Anyone can ride her in the arena or in a controlled area. However for trail riding she has not seen a lot out side of the pasture/arena. When she sees things scary she gets antsy with experienced rider she calms right down but with an inexperienced rider she says "see ya". She only has 30 days of riding on her so I think this is something that she will get over with time but she is only for intermediate to advanced at this time. Training her was easy and she took right to it and did everything she was asked. If someone wants Willow for a project she has the potential to make a wonderful horse. She is safe on the ground for anyone. We do not have the time to ride her on trails. She is very submissive and willing to do anything you ask of her. She is very very very sweet. She rides nice. If you are a good intermediate rider and are looking for a nice mare like Willow please inquire at BlueRidgeAcres@msn.com ; she will make someone a very happy horse owner. She is very good in docile herds and has taken in a weanling that came in without a mom as her own. She would also make a nice companion for another docile equine. She will pick up her hooves, easy to catch, lead, and saddle. She looks to people for comfort. She has a very good attitude and is very forgiving. If you want a horse with a lot of potential pick Willow. Happy lifelong home only :0) She's a beautiful girl.
